The Crown season 4 is officially out now! And, well, if you’ve watched any of the previous seasons, you know the royals don’t always come off looking amazing. But that’s okay because they probably don’t watch it. Or do they??

I reached out to everyone in the royal family and simply asked them if they’d watched it, and what their general thoughts are of the show. Of course, not everyone was polite enough to answer, but here’s the response I got from the ones that aren’t freaking rude:

Princess Eugenie: I did watch a couple of episodes. It’s filmed beautifully, the music is wonderful, the story is beautiful. I can’t speak for everyone, but that’s the lie I told the Queen when she asked me about it.

Prince Edward (youngest child of the Queen): I have a Netflix account and urged my mum to watch it with me and my wife Sophie. Happily, she really liked it, but then she stopped taking my calls and things haven’t been the same between us since.

Prince William: I’m not too pleased with it. I feel that both of my parents are being exploited and being presented in a false, simplistic way to make money. I wouldn’t mind, however, if they decided to do a season about my brother and his wife. I’d watch that.

Prince Philip (The Queen’s husband): I have no desire to watch my family in a fictitious TV program. Dealing with them in real life is more than enough. Too much, if I’m honest.

Kate Middleton: Yes, I’ve watched it… I guess it’s only an interpretation. So I just kind of remember what they’re actually like and don’t let the TV persona fool me into thinking they’re actually interesting.

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall: I have watched it, of course I have. And Charles has too. I don’t have any real issue with it. I have a wonderful sense of humor and this show doesn’t fuss me in the slightest. Do you understand? IT DOESN’T FUSS ME. YOU CAN’T HURT ME.
