Today we all found out the real reason why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle rejected the title of ‘Earl of Dumbarton’ for Archie. Well, not all of us. Some people are busy with their own lives and have not had a chance to read this important piece of information.
According to a royal source, Meghan and Harry did not like that Dumbarton has the word ‘dumb’ in it, and yeah, not every name can be as cool as Sussex with the word ‘sex’ in it, but life is unfair like that sometimes.
The couple also figured that Archie is going to have enough issues in life as it is, with his parents being so hated by the British and so loved by, well, other Britons that simply won’t admit it in family reunions, that making him the ‘Earl of Dumbarton’ might be plain cruel.
Not everyone has taken this news well, however. The people of Dumbarton in Scotland are especially upset, all 19 of them. Though a very, very small town in Scotland, Dumbarton is home to good-hearted people who don’t like being shamed for their name.
Dumbarton peeps should not worry, however, because Twitter is all over this. Twitter users who don’t really know where Dumbarton —or Scotland—is, are angrily voicing how incredibly insulting this rejection is for them. So, it’s all good then.
