Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively tied the knot in 2012 and are among Hollywood’s most beloved couples. And for good reason!
For their 10th anniversary, Ryan sat down with a guy who looked like a reporter to talk about what’s so special about his marriage to Blake.
“Well, first of all, thank you for saying we have the best marriage,” Ryan started. “Because it’s not easy being married to Blake, I’ll tell you that much.”
Ryan went on to explain the type of things that he does to make it work, no matter how difficult it is sometimes. “I try to look her in the eyes when I ask for favors. Not in a threatening way, I just want to make sure she’s paying attention when I ask for things.”
Liking each other so much also helps. “We genuinely like each other, not just as partners but as hairstylists, cooks, valets, you name it. She likes it when I do everything for her. It’s thrilling. For her.”
But most of all, they respect each other’s boundaries. “I don’t wake Blake up too often during the night,” Ryan said. “So, like four or five times I think of something funny when I’m asleep and I only wake her up twice to tell her.”
“And I’m very loyal,” he promised. “I don’t even make eye contact with other people in fear of them thinking I’m too damn sexy.”
Honestly, seems like a match made in heaven. If heaven was a movie set because that’s where they met.
