Jake Gyllenhaal made an appearance in Los Angeles, just hours after his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift, premiered a short film for the 10-minute version of “All Too Well,” a song rumored to be about him.
“I saw him casually walking outside and I personally got so offended,” said a bystander. “How can he be so effing selfish?”
“It’s like he doesn’t even care that a woman he dated 11 years ago had a short film coming out about him,” another woman said. “Talk about male privilege!”
Jake was on his way to support his sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal, at the Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards. She was being awarded Breakthrough Director for her work on “The Lost Daughter.”
“You’re telling me he couldn’t have chosen a different time to support his sister?!” asked another woman who also saw Jake on his way to the event. “I hate when men think they can support their loved ones whenever they want. There is a time and place for everything!!”
A recent poll done by Nielsen Holdings showed that 87% of people agree that if a woman you’ve dated for three months premiers a short film about your relationship, you should stay home and be embarrassed when you finally show your face in public.
“It’s just not right,” said another person who doesn’t know Taylor or Jake personally. “He is the picture of entitlement!”
“He is exactly what’s wrong with white men,” said another person. “I bet he doesn’t even read all the mean comments about him on Twitter.”
