It appears that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry won’t be joining Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royal family for the holidays this year.
According to Page Six, an invitation has been extended to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to head over to Sandringham for the royal’s traditional Christmas gathering, but multiple sources can confirm that “the couple would rather eat dirt.”
“It’s not that they don’t want to go,” said a source close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, “they just rather hang out with people who don’t hate them.”
Especially during the holidays!
“Harry and Meghan think that it’s nice to be around people who think they’re not the worst people that have ever walked the Earth,” a friend of the couple said. “So they’re staying in L.A..”
“Christmas is supposed to be a time to spend with family, regardless of how you feel about them,” said a source close to Queen Elizabeth. “Harry and Meghan should be here, even though they don’t want to come and no one wants them to.”
The news that the Sussexes aren’t coming has Prince William and Kate Middleton especially upset.
“This is granny’s first Christmas without her husband,” Prince William said. “It’s so selfish of them not to come and spend time with her.”
“Sure,” Kate Middleton said. “But what I don’t understand is why they get to decline this invitation and I HAVE to go. That’s what’s really messed up about this situation.”
You tell them, Kate!
