Rebel Wilson called 2020 her “year of health” and has been working really hard to get to her goal weight of 165 lbs before the year ends. While she’s been keeping her fans updated on each milestone moment on social media (and they love cheering for her!), she also asked her close friends to text her words of encouragement every now and then.
This is what some of her most famous friends have texted her back through her incredible fitness journey:
Hailee Steinfeld: You can do this, girl! Just remember that what hurts today makes you stronger tomorrow. Unless it’s a paper cut. That shit is going to hurt like hell for no reason.
Anne Hathaway: I’m so proud of you for doing this, Rebel. I’ve always believed that if you put in the work, the results will come. Not always right away, of course.. but if you’re consistent, it might still take a few months. Maybe more. But at some point, almost for sure.
Emilia Clarke: David Beckham has a famous quote that reads: “I still look at myself and want to improve.” That always makes me feel like I need to work harder at ignoring what athletes say. Like, what an overachiever.
James Corden: Challenging yourself every day is one of the most exciting ways to live. Or so my wife keeps saying during supper. Not sure if this is a dig at me or one of the kids…. Hope you find the quote inspiring. I can assure you, I and the kids sure don’t.
Chris Hemsworth: I know it’s hard… it’s supposed to be hard. Honestly, if it were easy, my brother Liam would have nicer legs.
Awkwafina: I once read that our bodies are capable of anything… that’s actually when I tried to do the splits. It took me two weeks of trying every day but I eventually did it! And the paramedics who helped me stand back up were super friendly.
Chris Pratt: Don’t stop when you’re tired. Stop when you pass out, regain consciousness, and pass out for the second time. That’s what my trainer used to say… until I punched him in the face. Now he doesn’t say much when I train.
