Interview: Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake Reunite After 18 Years to Discuss What Happened Between Them

It all started when Britney Spears posted a video of herself dancing to Justin’s song “Filthy” on her Instagram and praised him in the caption. Then the whole internet went crazy, and I, of course, asked them both to meet me to reminisce about the ‘good old days’ when they were together. Surprisingly, they agreed.

Bea: Hello you two. Thank you so much for agreeing to do this with me. 

Justin: No problem.

Britney: Absolutely.

Bea: Why don’t you introduce yourselves to the young people who have no idea who you are. 

Britney: Uh… well, I sing and I dance and—

Bea: You know what? I’ll just add it to the intro. Let’s move on. 

[Silence]

Bea: How long has it been since you two hung out with each other?

Britney: Oh gosh, a long long time. 

Justin: Almost 20 years I think. 

Bea: How does it feel to see how you each aged? I’m guessing you, Brit, feel relieved you guys broke up when you did.

Justin: Excuse me?

Britney: [laughs] I actually think Justin looks better now than he did back then. 

Bea: Well, that’s one woman’s opinion… 

[Silence]

Bea: Justin, what’s your fondest memory of being with Britney? 

Justin: I remember she made me laugh all the time.

Bea: On purpose?

Justin: Yes, on purpose. A lot of people don’t know this but she’s actually hilarious.

Britney: Aww, thanks, J. 

Bea: I remind you both that Justin is married.

Justin: For almost eight years actually. We have a son, Silas. He’s 5.

Britney: Do you have a picture?

Justin: I have tons! 

[Justin pulls out his phone and shows us.]

Justin: Here’s one of him at my parents’ house, and here’s another one at the beach, and—

Bea: We’re good. No one cares about other people’s children enough to look at more than 2 pictures without getting bored. 

[Silence]

Justin: How about you, B? Do you have pictures of your sons?

Bea: Goddammit,  just google them when you get home.
