The full version of that 2016 infamous phone call between Taylor Swift and Kanye West leaked online this past weekend. The leaked extended video proves what Taylor had insisted all along—that she never gave Kanye permission to call her a bitch in the lyric of his song ‘Famous’, and that Kim edited the video when she posted it the first time.
Though this is all old drama, it hasn’t stopped Kim and Taylor from coming for each other online so I reached out to both of them and arranged a meeting. This is what we discussed:
Bea: I really appreciate the two of you coming to discuss your feud with me.
Taylor: Of course.
Kim: I thought I was here to talk about motherhood…
Bea: Before we start, I should warn you that since we are in the midst of a pandemic, if either one of you coughs or sneezes… I have pepper spray and I am not afraid to use it.
Taylor: That’s not what pepper spray—
Kim: Sure. Let’s just start.
Bea: Alright, my first question is for Taylor. I can see right through your shirt. Is it designed that way?
Taylor: Excuse me?
Kim: Can we focus?! What does that have to do with the call?
Taylor to Kim: Exactly. Thank you.
Bea: Alright, I’m gonna be honest with you. I didn’t watch the video. It was 20 minutes long and Kanye’s voice bores me to death, no offense to anyone but Kanye.
Taylor: Then why did you ask us here to talk about it?! This was such a waste of time for both Kim and myself!
Kim: Kanye’s voice is not boring!
Taylor: Yes, it is.
Kim: His thought process is complex and sometimes it takes him a minute or two to express his full thought, but he is NOT—
Taylor: Oh, give it up.
Kim: You give it up. I can’t believe we are even here talking about this nonsense. This whole thing happened four years ago! Move on!
Taylor: That’s easy for you to say. This ‘nonsense’ put me, my family and my fans through hell for FOUR years.
Kim: “Boo-hoo. Poor Taylor Swift”. You made an album out of this situation, and over $300 million dollars with the tour. That’s more money than you’ve made with any other album you’ve put out. YOU ARE WELCOME.
Taylor: No no. Don’t get confused. That’s MY merit. That’s how good I AM. What you and your husband did almost destroyed me!!
Bea: OH GOOD LORD. STOP.
Kim: [Silence]
Taylor: [Silence]
Bea: I just got a call. I will make this quick and we can continue. This is GOLDEN.
