Interview: Channing Tatum and Jessie J Talk About the Real Reason They Broke Up (Again)

Jessie J and Channing Tatum broke up again. The couple, who started dating in October 2018, had rekindled their romance in January after splitting the previous month. After getting back together, the couple ramped up their PDA game with super soppy social media posts that I bet the regret now.

Anyway, they agreed to talk to me together about their painful split:

Bea: Hi you two. Thanks for agreeing to do this with me. 

Channing: Of course.

Bea: Especially after our last conversation. You seemed pretty upset when you left.

Jessie: Water under the bridge, really.

Bea: I know this is a very painful time for both of you, so I want to start the interview off light. Who broke the other person’s heart? 

[Silence]

Channing: It was mutual.

Bea: So you broke up with her, huh?

Channing: We both agreed we were better off as friends. 

Bea: What happened? Did you stop touching each other’s privates?

Jessie: Of course not! That was never the problem. 

Bea: What happened then? 

Channing: It’s complicated. I have a lot of things going on right now and that was hard for Jessie.

Bea: We are in the midst of a pandemic. No one has a lot to do right now unless you are a doctor. — Let the heavens protect those unlucky bastards.

Jessie: The thing is, Channing has a responsibility to his kid and his previous family… and that’s not always easy for me.

Bea: I get it. The kid is a drag.

Jessie: No no, Everly is amazing. 

Bea: Of course you have to say that, with Chan sitting right here. 

Jessie: She really is though.

Bea: Stop. Your opinion can’t be trusted. 

[Silence]

Bea: Do you think you’ll get back together again? 

Channing: This is already the second time we try to make things work, so probably not. 

Bea: I have a serious boyfriend, so don’t try to seduce me.

Channing: What? I wasn’t. 

Bea: I see the way you look at me, Channing. It’s not gonna happen.

Jessie: Excuse me? This is disrespectful. I’m sitting right here.

Bea: I’m flattered, but it’s not gonna happen between you and me either.
