It is Meghan Markle’s birthday today! But because COVID-19 is still very much a thing, the Duchess received most of her birthday wishes from friends and family over text messages.
And because she is chill, she shared with me some of the messages she received. Yes, she is THAT chill.
Kate Middleton: Even though we are not really friends, because I don’t like you, I still wish you have a happy birthday. May you live a long healthy life surrounded by people who do like you.
Queen Elizabeth: Dear Meghan, in my eyes, you are a priceless jewel—one that I will treasure and protect for as long as you are married to my grandson. Happy birthday.
Doria Ragland (Meghan’s mom): The moment you were born, I knew there and then that you were going to bring a lot of happiness to a lot of people. But I could not have imagined the amount of stress you were going to cause the Queen of England. You are one of a kind, kid. Happy birthday.
Trevor Egleson (Meghan’s ex-husband): Hey Megs…. Not sure if this is still your phone number… but it’s your birthday today and I wanted to tell you I’m thinking about you and that money you still owe me. My friends say I should let it go but… I mean, you can afford to pay me back now.
Jessica Mulroney (Meghan’s ex-best friend): I know you haven’t answered my last 137 texts… but I still want to wish you a happy birthday. Happy birthday, M. I know I screwed up, but you always screw up and people forgive you.
Barack Obama: Hi Meghan. It’s Barack Obama. Michelle told me it’s also your birthday today and I just want to say that having the same day of birth with you excites me in such an amazing way. Happy birthday, birthday twin.
Patrick J. Adams: I feel so lucky to have you as my friend. And since you went off and married a very wealthy member of the royal family, the luck is real. Happy birthday, girl.
