Hilaria and Alec Baldwin are expecting again! The fitness instructor shared the happy news on Instagram by posting a video of her growing bump with the baby’s heartbeat playing over it. This will be their 5th child together and the 6th for Alec.
The couple agreed to talk to me about the joys of being parents again and why they’re not crying about it.
Bea: Hi you two. Thanks for doing this with me.
Alec: No problem.
Hilaria: We’re happy to do it.
Bea: Congrats on the baby news. Or not. Depending on how you’re feeling about having a 5th child….
Hilaria: Definitely happy! We’ve been trying to get pregnant for a while.
Bea: Alec, is this true or was your sperm used without your consent? Blink twice if you need me to call the police.
Alec: No no, it’s true. We’re very happy.
Bea: Alright, congrats then. How did the other 4 kids take the news?
Hilaria: Oh, they all really wanted another sibling.
Bea: Good. So they should be happy to know they are stuck with one…
[Silence]
Bea: How do you keep your sex drive so high, Alec? It’s not an easy thing to do at 62.
Alec: It’s not really hard when you are married to a woman as beautiful and kind as my wife.
Bea: I hope my mom doesn’t read this —she’s always complaining my dad won’t touch her. This will crush her.
[Silence]
Bea: Alec, you have another daughter from your previous marriage, correct?
Alec: Yes, that’s correct.
Bea: And how does she feel about you reproducing again?
[Silence]
Alec: Uhh… she’s a teenager so she’s not too thrilled about anything her old man does.
Bea: She’s hardly a teenager. She’s 24.
Alec: Either way, she’s not thrilled. That’s not to say she doesn’t love her siblings—every time the babies are born, she gets really excited.
Bea: Good. So overall everyone’s happy!
Hilaria: Exactly.
Bea: Will you continue to procreate, if given the opportunity?
Hilaria: I dunno, never say never. I really want another girl and if this little munchkin is a boy we might want to try one more time…
[Silence]
Bea: Alec, is this true? Blink twice if you want me to schedule a vasectomy now.
