Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are very private people, so when I first approached them at the beginning of the year to do an interview, I was shocked and pleasantly surprised when they agreed to meet me.
Bea: Hi you two. Thank you so much for doing this with me.
Mila: Our pleasure.
Ashton: No problem.
Bea: I wanted to tell you I think you have one of the most romantic love stories.
Mila: Aww, thank you. We think so.
Bea: The fact that you met when you were 14 years old and Ashton was 19 and he waited until your 18th birthday to hump you, and confess his true love for you is just… Ashton, you are a gentleman.
Ashton: Thank you.
Mila: That is not what happened at all.
Ashton: I’m okay with that version.
Mila: We didn’t get together until I was 28 and he was already divorced from a previous marriage. When I was 18 we had no chemistry whatsoever.
Bea: Are you serious right now?
Mila: He was married to Demi Moore. Everyone knows this.
Bea: But Demi is ancient.
Ashton: That’s all in the past now. Point is we are together and we are happy and I didn’t “hump” her then but I am sure as hell “humping” her now.
Bea: It’s not the same. [Pauses] How long have you been together then?
Ashton: Eight years.
Bea: What makes this relationship better than the one you had with Demi?
Ashton: That is a very inappropriate thing to a—
Mila: I would love to hear the answer to that!
Ashton: [Pauses for a moment] For starters, I’m a different person now. I was more mature and more experienced when I got together with Mila than when I was married to Demi. [Pauses] And I love her with all my heart… just look at her, she’s gorgeous and joyful and kind.
Mila to Ashton: Awww, babe, I think you have spinach between your teeth. It’s gross. Get it out.
