It’s been three weeks since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced they are stepping back from the royal family. And while everyone seems to be fine with their decision, Kate Middleton is not so sure everything is the same without them. Her Royal Highness sat down with me to chat about what life has been at the palace since the ‘Fab Four’ became the ‘Terrific Two.’
Bea: Hi Kate. Thanks for doing this with me.
Kate: Of course.
Bea: I love your outfit.
Kate: Thank you!
Bea: You always look so uptight but it suits you.
Kate: *Silence*
Bea: Have you spoken with Meghan Markle since she moved to Canada?
Kate: Yes. A few days after she left I phoned her to make sure she was okay.
Bea: And how is she? What did she say? What was she wearing?
Kate: I don’t know. She didn’t pick up.
Bea: How fucking rude.
Kate: Hey! You can’t use that kind of language in front of me!
Bea: Sorry. How fucking impolite.
Kate: Why don’t we move on?
Bea: What’s it been like since Harry and Meghan moved to Canada?
Kate: Well, they’ve only been gone for 21 days.
Bea: So nothing has changed?
Kate: Everything has changed. All their duties have fallen on my lap and my royal responsibilities have pretty much doubled.
Bea: So now you have two things to do a month instead of one?
Kate: I work more than once a month.
Bea: I heard. It’s twice now.
