Elon Musk and his girlfriend Claire Elise Boucher welcomed their first son together! Interviewer Lisa Martin went to Elon’s home in Los Angeles to ask him about the birth and the weird AF name they gave the baby.
Lisa: Hello, Mr. Elon Reeve Musk. Thanks for agreeing to do this interview.
Elon: Let’s keep the volume down. The baby is sleeping.
Lisa: Oh, sorry. I thought the baby was in the hospital, not here.
Elon: Of course he’s in the hospital. But he’s sleeping.
[Silence]
Lisa: Speaking of the baby, I brought him a present…
Elon: What is it?
[I give Elon my gift and he unwraps it right away. It’s six boxes of Kleenex Ultra Soft Facial Tissue]
Elon: What’s this shit for?
Lisa: I heard newborns cry a lot so… I bought tissues for when he cries.
[Elon throws the boxes on the floor.]
Lisa: Careful!! They were expensive. I bought the ultra-soft ones.
[Silence]
Lisa: What’s his name, by the way?
Elon: Chi Ash Cygnus.
Lisa: Chihuahua?
Elon: Why would I name my son after a dog’s breed? That’s disrespectful.
Lisa: Sorry… how do you spell it?
Elon: X Æ A-12.
[Silence]
Lisa: Oh… okay. Well…. that’s… I just wonder… is the number twelve really necessary?
Elon: It’s the number I thought of when I looked at him for the first time.
Lisa: I see… Well, I bet he’s gonna grow up wishing you’d thought of the word ‘Pete’ or ‘Jake’ when you first looked at him.
[Silence]
Lisa: Then again, he’s gonna grow up as a billionaire. If that’s the trade-off, call me Seven.
