Julianne Hough and her husband Brooks Laich have one of those amazing love stories that end in “and they lived happily ever after… until they didn’t have things in common anymore and decided to divorce, but they still speak from time to time, although now it’s a bit awkward”. So, still a good love story, but not the one they hoped to have.

Bea: How are you?
Julianne: I’m… uh… I’m okay…. Things have been a little weird lately but… that’s life, you know?
Bea: Of course I know. I stepped on gum on my way here. Things have been better for me too.
Julianne: [Silence]
Bea: I heard that you’re getting a divorce though, that’s rough…
Julianne: Yeah… it is.
Bea: I’m sorry… that really sucks. But you know what people say, “with bad comes good”.
Julianne: Yeah… I truly believe that.
Bea: And you know what? Being single really pays off during tax season… you can file as ‘head of a household’… I heard that’s convenient.
Julianne: I guess…
Bea: I’m just saying, it’s something to look forward to.
Julianne: [Silence]
Bea: Oh, and you know what else? You get to have that feeling of a “first kiss” with someone again… That’s exciting!
Julianne: I’m not ready for that… I can’t even think about that yet.
Bea: Of course not! All I’m saying is that when you are…. first kisses are amazing… at least 4 out of 10 times. Sometimes it’s surprising how many people don’t know how to give a normal kiss.
Julianne: That’s… uhm…I just… I’m not ready to think about kissing another human being yet.
Bea: I understand… Also, with the coronavirus being a deadly threat, it’s probably not a good moment to be wanting to kiss strangers anyway.
Julianne: [Silence]
Bea: What I’m saying is, good call on not wanting to kiss randos.
Julianne: … thanks.
