Elsa Pataky and Chris Hemsworth tied the knot in 2010 after meeting earlier that same year. The model and actor are very private about their lives but the world still wants to know what their relationship has been like all these years. My name is Justin Adler, and that’s exactly what I asked Elsa during a Zoom call.
Adler: Can you hear me okay?
Elsa: Yes, I can hear you perfectly.
Adler: Great. I can too… in case you were wondering.
Elsa: [Smiles.]
Adler: Did you say something just now?
Elsa: No.
Adler: Kay good. ‘Cause I didn’t hear anything.
Elsa: [laughs]
Adler: Can I just say, your beauty is mesmerizing. And I mean that in a completely non-sexual, non-creepy, non-threatening way. I respect that you are legally married to a slightly more attractive man than myself.
Elsa: Happily married [smiles and shows off her wedding ring.]
Adler: Tell me something, and I need you to be completely honest with me… does it ever annoy you how good and kind and handsome your husband is? Like, do you ever just wanna slap him and say ‘your beautiful bone structure is stressing me out this morning’?
Elsa: No [laughs]. I’ve never… it’s never occurred to me to do that…
Adler: Interesting.
Elsa: He annoys me for different reasons but his kindness and good looks have never been a problem.
Adler: What is the problem between you two? And please don’t be shy with your answer. We have time.
Elsa: [laughs] You know, you’d be surprised by how many times people ask me that question!
Adler: Makes sense. People want to know what attractive people like you and me fight about with their significant other. It’s human nature to be curious about the life of the rich and handsome.
Elsa: [laughs] We’re just like any other couple. Of course we’ve had our ups and downs throughout the years but we love each other and we work hard on the relationship.
Adler: Of course you do. You’re Chris and Elsa… or Elsa and Chris…. or if you go by your celebrity name ‘Echris’. You are doing incredible. Don’t ever change.
Elsa: [smiles]
Adler: How long have you been married anyway?
Elsa: It’ll be 10 years in December.
Adler: December? What a perfect time to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Is it before or after baby Jesus’ birthday?
Elsa: Before… by a few days.
Adler: I know we just met but I can tell you already have the perfect gift for Christopher. I know it.
Elsa: Not really. [laughs] It’s still too early and with the pandemic going on, it’s not exactly safe to go shopping right now.
Adler: Wha… Okay, it’s fine. To err is human. It’s fine.
Elsa: [laughs]
Adler: Well, thanks for doing this with me, Elsa.
Elsa: Anytime!
