Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney have been married for less than a year but every time they are seen outside they always look like they’re having a blast. My name is Justin Adler and I got a chance to speak with JLaw about big things like her 30th birthday and married life. We met up at a big garden outside a Hilton hotel in lower Manhattan.

Adler: Lovely to meet you, Jennifer.

Jennifer: You too.

Adler: Do you mind? [shows Jennifer his phone] Just a quick pic here for my Twitter fans…

Jennifer: Sure!  [Quickly fixes her hair and gets closer to Adler]

Adler: What are you doing? Can you just take a picture of me, here… I try to keep my 187 Twitter fans updated on what I’m up to…. [checks clothes] Do I look okay?

Jennifer: Oh. [laughs] I thought you wanted a picture with me.

Adler: This is for my Twitter account. My fans like to see pictures of me… If they want to see pictures of you then they can just go to your Twitter account.

[Jennifer takes the picture.]

Adler: Thank you. You’re a sweetheart.

Jennifer: [Smiles]

Adler: Can you take it again? My chin looks weird in this one.

[Jennifer takes three more pictures.]

Adler: You’re the best. I look really good, don’t I? Look at my hair. It’s on point today.

Jennifer: [laughs] yeah.

Adler: Anyway, where were we?

Jennifer: We were just starting.

Adler: Right… so how are you? How’s newlywed life?

Jennifer: I’m really good…. things are a little slow right now, which can drive me crazy sometimes… but no, it’s good. We’re all good. I like having Cooke all to myself.

Adler: Are you quarantining with just him?

Jennifer: Right now, yes. When this first started my parents and a few friends were staying with us.

Adler: I don’t understand why people quarantine with their parents. My father and I have an unspoken agreement where we call each other every other week just to make sure the other is still alive. That’s it. He also lets me know if my mom’s still breathing, that way I don’t need to make two phone calls.

Jennifer: Do you not get along with your parents?

Adler: Are you crazy? I love them to death. We’re super tight.

Jennifer: [laughs]

Adler: I’m serious, they’re my everything…. Anyway, I heard it was your 30th birthday a few weeks ago, which means you’re a Leo like me, so I brought you this [gives Jennifer a Zodiac sign mug].

Jennifer: Wow, thank you! That’s so kind of you.

Adler: It’s a Leo mug.

Jennifer: I see that [laughs].

Adler: We Leo’s have to stick together, you know?

Jennifer: When was your birthday?

Adler: August 9th. It was a Sunday. It was a magical day.

Jennifer: [laughs] Cool.

Adler: Anyway, it looks like we’re out of time but it was lovely to meet you. Don’t forget your new mug.
