After 14 years and 20 seasons, the Kardashian family is saying goodbye to their reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Like everyone else, I was left wondering what exactly happened that led Kris Jenner and the fam to make such a drastic decision… so I got together with Kim, Kourtney and Khloe to discuss just that.
Adler: Hello, ladies. Thank you for being here with me today.
Kim: Thank you for having us.
Adler: Full disclosure… I currently have an ear infection that is affecting my hearing, so I’m gonna need you to speak a little louder than you normally would… that is, If you want me to know what you’re saying.
Kourtney: Is it contagious?
Adler: Courageous? Well, thank you for saying that. I must admit it wasn’t easy for me to get out of bed and come here. But as my wonderful mother always says, ‘go to work or die’. She doesn’t like lazy people.
Khloe: Wow, that’s harsh…
Adler: No, no rash, thankfully… Just the ear infection.
Kourtney: I’m gonna take a step back… I don’t want to catch whatever he has…
Kim: He won’t be able to hear you if you sit even farther away….
Kourtney: I don’t care.
Adler: Ladies… I’m going to have to ask you to SPEAK LOUDER. I can see your mouths moving but I have no idea what’s going on.
Kourtney: He’s talking to you, Kim.
Kim: He’s talking to all of us, Kourtney!
Khloe: He’s talking to himself because that’s the only person he can hear.
[Adler stands up, grabs his chair with him and gets closer to the three Kardashians]
Adler: Much better.
[Silence]
Adler: So… you’re ending your reality tv show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians… I only know one person who still watches that show… my friend Matty Johnson. He’s unemployed. But he knows the lyrics to every Lady Gaga song.
Kim: Well… tell your friend we say thank you for watching.
Adler: He’s not that good of a friend, to be honest…. Haven’t talked to him in a year. I can’t just call him now with a message from Kim Kardashian. Actually… maybe. [Gets lost in thought]
[Silence]
Adler: Anyway… what happened? Why did you decide it was time to put an end to this seemingly never-ending show?
Kim: There’s really not a big reason why we decided this… it was just… time.
Kourtney: For me, personally, it was getting a little toxic…
Kim: [rolling her eyes:] Everyone knows Kourtney wanted out…
Kourtney: And everyone knows that you didn’t want to film anything that was actually interesting. You told the crew not to film anything related to Kanye, or your kids, or your businesses… that leaves them with footage of you going out to lunch with your mom.
Khloe: [laughs]
Adler: Would you be willing to record a message for my friend? I don’t think he’s gonna believe me that we talked about him if it just comes from me.
Kim: It wasn’t just me, Kourtney… you and Kendall and Kylie didn’t want to film anything relevant either.
Kourtney: At least I was honest about it!!
Khloe: Can we not do this right now?
Adler: Actually… can we instead record something for my Twitter fans? I think they would like to hear you three saying something flattering about me…
Khloe: I don’t think they’re listening to you anymore.
Adler: That’s okay. You can record the message by yourself, can’t you?
