Kourtney Kardashian has officially quit the reality show that made her a celebrity. She agreed to talk to me about her new plans and how she wants to make her kids a big priority in her life. The conversation happened over the phone, since we are all self-isolating because of the coronavirus.
Bea: Hi Kourtney. Thank you so much for agreeing to do this with me.
Kourtney: Sure.
Bea: Let’s get right into things. Is it true that you quit the show?
Kourtney: Yes, it is.
Bea: My goodness gracious, what are you gonna do for money now?
Kourtney: Money isn’t everything. There are more important things, like happiness… and my kids.
Bea: That’s exactly what I keep telling my landlord when he asks for rent. ‘Money isn’t everything.’ He keeps cashing my checks anyway.
[Silence]
Kourtney: I…, fortunately, I have enough money saved up to live comfortably and I don’t want to miss out on time with my kids anymore.
Bea: I get it, you want to be a full-time mom.
Kourtney: Exactly. And what my sisters don’t understand is that raising children is a job as well. In fact, it’s the hardest and most rewarding job I’ve ever had.
Bea: Of course. Are your kids there with you right now?
Kourtney: No no. I’m outside getting tanned. I think they’re with the nanny.
Bea: Oh, you’re keeping the nanny?
Kourtney: Yes, of course. All four of them, actually.
[Silence]
Bea: But you just said you want to spend more time raising your kids…
Kourtney: Well, yeah, but not every day.
[Silence]
Bea: Why do you even need four nannies?
Kourtney: Well Rosa works during the day, Lupe works nights, Cindy works weekends and Alice supervises all of them.
Bea: What do you do?!
Kourtney: I pay them!
